Is this Skins? I've been taking comfort in BBC America lately. I even watched Star Stories.
BBC America is almost my everything. And Skins is the most important of all. Also 9. 17. 2008 gold shoes pic is from Skins: they are the shoes of Cassie, radiant magical melancholy angel.
ok, it's on the TIVO. actually, where I'm staying right now it's called MOXI (no e), and makes a slightly different pinging sound when buttons are pressed.
Even though financial forces have driven us from our beloved TiVo, the interfaces of which (on-screen and in-hand) are so gloriously designed, I still use the verb "to TiVo," a trace of past glory. But I refer to the thing itself as the dvr-- to mark its dullness.
Mom calls it "Uncle TiVo" (i.e., "What did Uncle TiVo leave us today?").
Past glories notwithstanding, there's something to be said for watching programs in real time, and allowing them to be as transparent and ephemeral as they truly are.
