Margit has eaten at the Hominy so many times. It is a beacon of brightness in downtown Charleston. The coconut cake is not to be believed.
From EBW in an email: "One of the owners of the house that we rented in Folly Beach, SC, painted that sign! His artwork was all over the beach house, as was that of his wife, who I'm pretty sure was the model for Grits Girl. We never met them, but they were so kind to us." [sigh-- the happiest, satisfiedest of sighs.]
