get revised into this (a fine cover, but desolate in comparison):

The former was what I had in mind when I claimed Chromatics captured a Boz-Scaggs inspired moment:

Perhaps another such moment:

Or perhaps it's unfair to simply associate the speedo with Boz (in the initial comparison, I had in mind not only the suit but also the composition, the shadowiness of the men's faces, their hairiness, their trimness, etc.).
Either way, Chromatics and the speedo: both silhouettes I can get behind...

The simultaneous feature of fabric, flesh and fur that Boz offers up is the perfect illustration of what's next. The shaven chests of yesterday are out, and a healthy rug is in. The only missing component is the mustache. We're already seeing its resurgence (already a mainstay in the hipster crowd) and I suspect a return of muscle is just around the corner. One can only hope that the clone look all of this is so dangerously close to will return with a more sensitive demeanor.
Sadly, this still isnt the turn I was hoping for. When will the slightly soft, average-ish guy become the peak in sexy... the king of cool?
Not sure why one of the images isn't loading. You can see it here:
