From the UW Archives:
A Break Through
Circa 1980: students unfurl during spring-like weather on the Memorial Union Terrace with Lake Mendota still frozen. The flesh of those pictured still radiates from this image-- emanating the glorious expansions (erotic, psychological, agricultural, sartorial, intellectual, physical) of spring. The punctum-- if not the focus-- of this image is surely the headless fellow's cocked ass. I may be, in Kenny's words, Winter's Great Champion, but I still celebrate its end.
