1) This week, we're trying agretti (top pic), which the farmer described as an Italian green like arugula. For me, it's not at all like arugula. Arugula tastes peppery; agretti tastes like fresh. It's an Italian green like a lightly salted cucumber rendered in a sturdy chive.
2) Radishes are my least favorite vegetable. Melissa Clark's recent revelation that I can cook them-- and, what's more, do so with anchovies-- demands a reappraisal.
