1. how much is 300 mg? if you can believe it, I've actually been off black tea for a week! but the mate is about to run out, & I can't get any more here.

2. your version of #9 = perfection

3. the list = complicated, esp. in view of january 2's post. while I can only quibble with one or two (or three, actually) of the rules, I still find the list itself to be irksome.

3. STAY SHARP

1. Two to three cups of coffee-- quite manageable.

3. "in view of jan 2 post": I KNOW, I KNOW! [tone there is conciliatory yet vehement-- not irritated]. And get this. Horyn writes, "There are things to read, long pieces... Ms. Wintour... has largely resisted the pressure to break down content to lists and small bites." In fact, the rules are embedded in a 3-page article. For some reason, I felt the need to extract them into a list, a list which I too find irksome YET have put on the door of the fridge for the time being.

3. Which ones do you quibble with? #2 as Vicki Woods writes it is "boot camp." I think "exercise" without any specifications would be preferable. Similarly, #1 is much more complicated than my version suggests-- much too complicated, I think, to be a single rule.

3. Will I follow the rules? Do I seek to do so? I don't know.

1. I don't believe it.

2. I fear the unexpurgated version. the bootcampiness of #2 is why people "hate exercising."

3. I can't remember what made me add 3 to the two I quibble with: the glass of wine daily, not for any alcoholism-related reason, just that I find that one-glass-of-wine-a-day thing snooty and a bit lame as an official health rule. same deal with #11 -- the actual content is fine, but the vogue version, annoying (c.f. e jarvis, jan 2).
