Purge


This beautiful box of glitter did not make the cut. After years of living with it, I've thrown it away. Inside the box, among the glitter, lived a holographic disc from a toy ring of my childhood. That also I sent away to the landfill.

Do you mean that it's okay to

1) linger remorsefully;
2) house a childhood ring hologram in a plastic box filled with glitter and regularly think to one's self, "That is so pretty, small, insignificant, and mysterious;"
3) purge;
or
4) all of the above ?
