During Friday's lunch, I selected my current four favorite pages in Moving Through the Universe in Bare Feet: Ten Circle Dances for Everybody by Deborah Hay and DonnaJean Rogers. Later that afternoon, I returned it to the library.

the dancers, their vêtements, and the communal undulations of the handholding circle dance make me so happy! big crush on deborah: she's really into the cellular, moving & being on a cellular level. a bunch of my friends studied with her in austin over several summers after college; now I wish I had gone! because of you I'm revisiting that whole first generation of postmodernists, and I love them even more now, I think. maybe I'll go dig up the piece I wrote on GRAND UNION in 1993.
