Virtually back-to-back during a recent weekend I watched Hwal (The Bow) and Morven Callar, two films which both utilize headphones not as a sign of isolation or asociality but rather social (romantic, truthfully) intimacy.
The films are remarkably similar in other regards as well: visually lyrical, emphasizing sound track, deemphasizing dialogue of which there is very little, allegorical yet subtle.
